Update from my recent India trip – March 2015

Here’s an update from my recent concerts in India where I was able to take some time out to meet some of our current patients and offer some financial assistance to new patients directly in our communities.

  • On the 2nd day of Losar, PaTsering and I went to see MOMO Tashi Kyizom la, Bylakuppe Purang Camp, House # 1. From all of our supporters, we offered her 12,000 Rupees for her medical assistance for 2015.
  • On February 28th, we were in Dekyiling Tibetan Settlement for the Karuna Home Grand Concert and again, PaTsering and I met with “Tibetan Women Social Service” group there. They had brought forward a case to assist an Elderly Man with a Deaf Wife, who needs some financial assistance for their medical needs. We left 12,000 for the family, via “Tibetan Women Social Services” group.
  • On March 6th, The Tibetan Colony leader Karten Tsering La and His staff had arranged a quick meeting for OM Charity to meet with a local Tibetan family who was desperately in need of some financial assistance for their father’s serious medical condition. We met and offered 50,000 Rupees from all our supporters worldwide, and offered our prayers for a quick recovery as well.
  • On March 6th, The Tibetan colony MajnukaTilla had arranged a quick call with Kungo Tempa la (Bureau Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama – New Delhi). Kungo La spoke about a Rinpoche who’s currently in Delhi Hospital undergoing medical treatment and needing some financial assistance. Due to time constraints, I was unable to meet the patient, or Kungo Tempa La. However, on behalf of all the supporters of Om Charity, I left $800 with Karten Tsering la.

As everyone was busy during Losar, March 10, and other prior commitments, I hope to receive all the receipts for these contributions in weeks to come. As I get them, I’ll be sure to upload them for all of you.

Thank You for your continued support. The only way we can help the Poor and Sick patients of our communities is by getting involved and supporting these noble projects.

Please share, and support Om Charity as we continue to be there for the Poor and the Sick for as long as we breath on this earth….

Many Tashi Delek….
